Ready to learn about making your brand more visible in 2025? Let’s get into it..
What is brand visibility?
Brand visibility is all about showing up consistently and in the right places—whether that’s social media, search engines, networking events, or industry forums.
Why does visibility matter? Because even the best products or services won’t sell if people don’t know about them. It also helps to set you apart from your competitors. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: “People buy from people.”
If this is already filling you with dread, perhaps because you’re too shy, or maybe you just feel like you have ‘nothing to say,’ then don’t worry. That’s totally normal. Being visible doesn't mean you have to be someone you’re not (more on authenticity later), but it likely will mean you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. That’s one of the big things we work on in the Visibility Rebellion, which is creating a strong, supportive network of like-minded people who you can bounce ideas off and try out new things.
Why does it matter?
I’ve already touched on this, but let’s just make it clear– a good visibility strategy will make a huge difference to your business. It should result in:
Increased brand recognition and awareness.
More inbound leads and organic customer interest.
Higher trust and credibility within your industry.
A competitive edge over businesses that struggle to get noticed.
But visibility isn’t about just being everywhere - that wouldn’t be possible! It’s about being strategic with where and how you show up.
How do you find out where to be visible?
One thing I find time and time again in my work with entrepreneurs is that they are trying to be everywhere at the same time. Instead of spreading yourself too thin, focus on platforms and spaces that align with your audience and business goals. Here’s how to figure out where to invest your time and energy:
Identify key marketing channels and platforms:
Social media – Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook—each platform serves a different audience. Which one does your ideal customer use most?
Blogging and newsletters – Writing about your business is important not just for Google’s ranking but also for building trust. For example, Delivering a regular newsletter will help position you as a thought leader in your niche.
Podcasts & YouTube – Long-form video and audio content platforms help build authority and connect with audiences.
Networking events & speaking engagements – In-person or virtual, this helps establish your credibility and can also be a great way to meet people– but you have to be selective about which events are worth your time and money.
Partnerships and collaborations—Leveraging others’ audiences can significantly expand your reach, especially when you find the right match. The Visibility Rebellion has resulted in many fantastic partnerships.
Research your audience’s behaviours and preferences
Do you really know your audience? Where do they hang out online/offline? What do they like? How do they choose their suppliers?
If you don’t know the answers to these questions, don’t panic. Why not interview one of your existing clients? Here are some questions to ask them:
What are the main problems that we have helped to solve?
Why did you choose us over our competitors?
Where do you spend time online?
Do you speak to read newsletters, watch videos, or any other kind of industry information?
You can also find out how your customers behave by using online tools like Google Analytics, and social media surveys.
Look at competitors' visibility strategies
You should never copy your competitors, and if you ensure everything you do is truly authentic to you, then this shouldn’t be an issue. However, if you look at your competitors, you might get some answers about where your target customers are hanging out…
What platforms do they use most?
What content gets them engagement?
Are they investing in ads, influencer partnerships, or PR?
Why authenticity matters
In a world of information overload, being authentic is your superpower.
Customers today are sceptical of overly polished marketing. They crave real, honest, and relatable brands. If you want to stand out, authenticity isn’t optional—it’s essential.
Being authentic can be difficult, not because you are trying to con anyone, but simply because putting yourself out there is daunting. If you are authentic, then you are also vulnerable. And that’s, by far, the most challenging obstacle to get over.
Finding the confidence to show up as your authentic self is probably another guide in itself, but here are some tips to get you started:
Ask your friends and family to read your posts: Does this actually sound like something you would say?
Tell your story: A simple gateway into authenticity as your story is uniquely yours, so consider sharing how you got to where you are now, and thank the people you’ve met along the way.
Ask for testimonials: If you’re struggling to find the words, ask people who have worked with you to tell you what it’s like!
Trust your gut: If something doesn’t feel right to you, then it probably isn’t.
Seek support: Find a trustworthy group of peers (why not join The Visibility Rebellion?)
Creating an action plan: How to make your brand more visible
Consistency is key to a successful brand visibility strategy– this means showing up. You are a unique person, so your strategy will be unique, too, but here’s a handy checklist to get you started:
Things to do daily…
Show up on social media (stories, posts, comments)
Take one small step towards a bigger goal, e.g. book a new networking event
Things to do weekly…
Take one thing off your plate that’s not working
Try something new, e.g. go live on Instagram, or write a blog
Reply to comments on your posts
Things to do monthly:
Look back on your best and worst-performing posts of the month
Keep track of where every lead came from
Ask for a testimonial from a client
Remember, it’s not about being perfect– it’s about showing up as your authentic self.

Want to take visibility to the next level? Join The Visibility Rebellion—the ultimate accountability group for business owners serious about getting seen. Don’t just take it from me, here’s what a member said:
“When I first joined, I had a few ideas bubbling away but didn't feel confident enough to pursue them. When I signed up to the VR I decided I was going to go for it. That's when I started reaching out to people/networking and before I knew it I had two businesses.
“This move really made a shift in both businesses as it gave them a clearer direction and purpose. With Lauren's Visibility Rebellion, I understood more clearly how I could communicate to these different audiences, started to tell my story more confidently, and even gained my first PR feature!
Now I regularly do things I would have thought twice about previously, being more consistent and understanding that my own story matters, which adds more value and purpose to my businesses.”
